Among the world's most scenic marathon and half-marathon events, the two races begin at 5:30 AM with a simultaneous shotgun start. The 26.2 mile marathon starts at Queen Ka'ahumanu Center in Kahului, and finishes at Whaler's Village in Ka'anapali.
